Small Wonder
5b. cl. confusa Brother
Paddy
Until my plant blooms again I won't be able to take
close-ups with my new camera. I love the deep purple Brother Paddy
blooms!
Adult Brother Paddy plant growing in 3-ounce solo cup (above). The leaves
have an unusual sheen to them, as if they were brushed with an uneven
coat of varnish, or egg wash if you like to bake!
One of
the baby plants sported to a Chimera leaf (below).
The Chimera leaf plant continued to grow. This is a Feb 2007 photo (above) and
a comparison photo below.
July 2008
The Chimera leaf is slow-growing. It stays small and has never bloomed.
The leaves seem fragile so I grow it in a terrarium. I have grown normal
green Brother Paddy plants from the leaves, although it takes a long
time!
